With the new year comes a new edition of smartphones launched by Motorola: The Moto G 5G (2025) and Moto G Power 5G (2025).
Moto G 5G 2025

Moto G 5G

The Moto G 5G (2025) and Moto G Power 5G (2025) share many similar features, but let’s first take a closer look at what the Moto G 5G (2025) has to offer. As a budget-friendly option from Motorola, it delivers an impressive range of features for its price.
It features a 6.7-inch LCD (IPS) display with an HD+ resolution of 1604 × 720, offering 263 ppi for clear visuals. The 20:9 aspect ratio and 120 Hz refresh rate enhance the viewing experience, providing a smoother display and a more immersive, wider screen for entertainment.
The Moto G 5G features a modern design with a body made of vegan leather that gives it a premium look. With dimensions of 167.05 x 76.30 x 8.16 mm and a weight of 193 g, it’s easy to carry. Additionally, its water-repellent design protects it from accidental spills, splashes, or light rain.
Make your watching experience more enjoyable with its built-in stereo speakers by Dolby Atmos, giving you a better and clearer sound experience. Use it all day, for it offers a 5000 mAh battery, and charge it immediately with its 30W type-C charger.
Store all your memories with options of 64GB or 128GB storage and 4GB and an expandable RAM up to 12GB. Plus, enjoy excellent performance with the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor, featuring a 2.4GHz octa-core CPU and Arm Mali-G57 MC2 GPU, all running on Android 15.
Another highly anticipated feature of the Moto G 5G (2025) is its impressive camera performance. Capture stunning selfies with its 16MP front camera and record smooth FHD videos at 30fps. For the rear camera, enjoy sharp, detailed photos with a 50MP (f/1.8) main sensor and a 2MP macro (f/2.4) lens for close-up shots.
Here are its other specs: fingerprint reader, face unlock, ThinkShield, Corning Gorilla Glass 3 display, 3.5mm headset jack, 3 microphones, Google Assistant, NFC, 5G/4G connection, dual SIM (1 physical Nano SIM + eSIM + 1 microSD), and Wi-Fi 802.11. Inside the box, it has a charger (for selected carriers), a USB cable, guides, a SIM tool, and the Moto G 5G (2025).

Moto G Power 5G (2025)

Next, let’s talk about the Moto G Power 5G (2025). While it shares many features with the Moto G 5G (2025), let’s dive into what makes it unique and why it’s considered a power phone.
It features a 6.8-inch LCD (IPS) display with Full HD+ resolution (2388 x 1080), offering 387 ppi for an exceptional viewing experience. It also boasts a 19.9:9 aspect ratio and a 120Hz refresh rate for smooth visuals.
Similar to the Moto G 5G (2025), this model features a vegan leather body, but with some key differences. It offers enhanced protection with IP69 and IP68 protection and MIL-STD810H, making it both water- and dust-resistant. Weighing 208 g, it is slightly heavier, with dimensions of 166.62 x 77.10 x 8.72 mm.
Its battery is the same as the Moto G 5G (2025), but it has a unique charging. The Moto G Power 5G (2025) offers 30W charging and a 15W wireless charging capability, making it convenient for users.
Of course, its storage is larger than the Moto G 5G (2025), offering 128GB of storage and 8GB of RAM, which can be expanded up to 24GB. It also delivers impressive performance, featuring the same MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor with a 2.4GHz octa-core CPU and Arm Mali-G57 MC2 GPU, all running on Android 15.
When it comes to the camera, it boasts a 16MP front camera for clear selfies and FHD video recording at 30fps. On the back, the 50MP main camera (f/1.8) and 8MP ultrawide lens (f/2.2) capture detailed photos with a wider perspective.
Here are its other key specs: a fingerprint reader, face unlock, ThinkShield security, a 3.5mm headset jack, a Type-C USB 2.0 port, two microphones, stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, Google Assistant, NFC, 5G/4G connectivity, dual SIM (1 physical Nano SIM + eSIM + 1 microSD), and Wi-Fi 802.11. Inside the box, you’ll find a charger (for selected carriers), a USB cable (for selected carriers), guides, a SIM tool, and the Moto G Power 5G (2025).
