Xiaomi Pad 6 Review in 2024? 2025? The Xiaomi Pad 6 has been one of the most popular tablets since its launch. But what exactly makes this tablet so special, and why are people still choosing it? Here are my reasons why I think the Xiaomi Pad 6 is still one of the best choices for anyone on a budget of under P20,000.
Performance
One major reason for the Xiaomi Pad 6’s ongoing popularity is its performance. It features the Snapdragon 870, a 7nm flagship chipset released in 2021. While this chip isn’t the latest, it still outperforms many other processors found in tablets within the same price range.
In terms of software, the new HyperOS offers a smooth experience, though it feels a bit heavy compared to the previous MIUI. Still, HyperOS brings a lot of useful features, so it’s worth the trade-off.
Display
Another standout feature is the high-quality display. The Xiaomi Pad 6 boasts an 11-inch screen with an impressive resolution that results in sharp visuals. Plus, it has a 144Hz refresh rate, while most tablets in this price bracket only reach 120Hz. You’ll mostly notice this difference when gaming, but it’s nice to have a faster display.
This tablet is also highly versatile. I’ve seen posts from teachers who use their Xiaomi Pad 6 for PowerPoint presentations, which makes it a great option for both students and educators. And with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos support alongside its quad speakers, it’s also perfect for binge-watching series or enjoying music.
Design
When it comes to looks, the Xiaomi Pad 6 has a premium feel, with a sleek and professional design. It’s available in three colors: Gravity Gray, Misty Blue, and Gold, so you have options to suit your style.
Accessories
One of the Pad 6’s standout features is its support for accessories. Unlike many other tablets that use Bluetooth connectivity for the keyboard and stylus, the Pad 6 has pogo pins and magnetic attachment for the pen. This means more responsiveness and fewer connectivity issues compared to Bluetooth.
Camera
While cameras aren’t a huge factor for tablets, the Xiaomi Pad 6 offers good quality with its 13MP main and 8MP front cameras. It’s rare to find such quality on a tablet, so this is a welcome bonus.

Price
Finally, one of the strongest reasons to buy the Xiaomi Pad 6 is its affordability. Considering the powerful chipset, high-quality display, and premium design, it’s a great deal. While the original retail price was a bit high, it’s since dropped, and there are frequent sales and discounts. I got mine for just P12,000 in July, without any sale, so imagine the deals you could find now!
Cons
Of course, there are a few drawbacks. The Pad 6 lacks a microSD card slot and SIM slot, which some tablets, like the Redmi Pad Pro 5G, include. Having a SIM slot for 5G connectivity would make it easier to stay connected without relying on WiFi or a mobile hotspot.
Another minor con is the display size. While 11 inches is decent, some newer tablets now offer 12-inch screens. Though there is only a one-inch difference, extra space can enhance productivity.
Lastly, there’s the concern of software support since the tablet is nearly two years old. I’m still receiving updates, so it’s not a major issue, but it’s something to consider.
