Chinese smartphone brand nubia has announced the Z80 Ultra in China.
The new smartphone, announced on October 23, 2025 (Thursday), highlights the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor and a massive 7,200mAh battery that charges at 90W (wired) and 80W (wireless).
While the phone may have been launched in China just now, the smartphone maker has confirmed that it will hit shelves globally on November 6, according to a GSMArena report.
Tactile camera design, massive battery
Like its predecessor, the nubia Z80 Ultra also features a similar camera bar design — with a red accent surrounding the main camera — we’ve seen from last year’s Z70 Ultra, although its accompanying sensors have been rearranged (such as the placement of the LED and the second camera).

The phone sports a 6.85-inch display. It uses an AMOLED panel made by BOE with a resolution of 1216 x 2688 and a 144Hz refresh rate. Underneath the panel is an under-display 16MP selfie camera.
The main camera consists of three sensors: 50MP main (with 35mm focal length and OIS), 64MP telephoto (70mm), and 50MP ultra-wide (18mm), which can record up to 8K @ 30 fps and 4K @ 120 fps.
