Design and Build Quality
Since this is my first time trying an Infinix Mobile GT series, I am surprised by its mecha design of the Infinix GT 30 Pro, as it looks very gamer-ish and will definitely catch the attention of gamers out there.

There’s also customizable RGB lighting at the back, called Mechanical Light Waves, that adds an extra level of aesthetic appeal to the device. Its available colorways are Blade White and Shadow Ash, tho there’s also a Dark Flare colorway for its Gaming Master edition.
Holding this phone feels sturdy and does not have cheap build quality, even though it only has a plastic back, but it is still recommended to use its included jelly case to add protection to the device.

For its input and output, located at the bottom are the SIM tray, microphone, USB-C port, and main stereo speaker, while the secondary speaker, IR blaster, and another microphone are on the top. The GT triggers, power button, and volume buttons are located on the right side of the phone.

It also has a 7.99mm thickness, but it is not bulky to hold. Meanwhile, it only weighs 188g, ideal for hours of gaming since you won’t feel fatigued easily.

Display and Multimedia
The Infinix GT 30 Pro can also provide an impressive viewing experience since it has a large 6.78-inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution, making game graphics more detailed and sharp.
The Infinix GT 30 Pro also supports up to 144Hz high screen refresh rate, which we don’t usually find in this price range. This high refresh rate feature is perfect for playing first-person shooting games since it is smoother.
Moreover, since it uses an AMOLED panel, it delivers vibrant visuals that level up our gaming experience. It is also great for outdoors since it supports up to 4,500 nits max brightness. Its display is also protected by Gorilla Glass 7i, so you have peace of mind that it can’t be scratched easily.
Even though the Infinix GT 30 Pro is only under PHP 20K, it still delivers great sound quality with dual stereo speakers tuned by JBL. Although it is not very premium-sounding since it lacks bass, it is more than enough for gaming and entertainment use.

Performance
Since the Infinix GT 30 Pro is a gaming-focused smartphone, it uses the powerful 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Ultimate chipset with Mali G615-MC6 GPU that gives good performance enough for popular games today. It also supports up to 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.0 internal storage.
I tried playing Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, Call of Duty: Mobile, and Genshin Impact on this phone that we filmed and will upload on our TikTok account soon. Those games ran seamlessly without any problem, maybe its game booster really helps to achieve stable gameplay.

Based on my experience, this phone is true to its purpose, providing exceptional gaming performance, especially since it has GT triggers that are ideal for FPS games.
We also ran some performance benchmarks, and it got a 1,318,261 score on the AnTuTu benchmark, and while 17,338 score on PCMark Work 3.0. For its price, those scores can be considered very high since this phone is very affordable for its specs.

For software, the XOS 15, based on Android 15, runs very smoothly in this phone, and I did not encounter any problems.
However, I am not sure about its software support, but it will likely receive up to 2 years of updates. But this phone is also good for casual use, like browsing social media, browsing the net, and more.

Battery
You can also expect hours of juice in the Infinix GT 30 Pro when gaming since it has a large 5,500mAh battery capacity that supports 45W wired fast charging and 30W wireless charging. For intense gaming, you can also play games while charging because it supports bypass charging 2.0.
Our battery benchmark did not go through since the PCMark battery benchmark always fails before it finishes. But its battery is very efficient and does not drain faster even in gaming.
Charging this phone is also decently fast enough; it can charge up the device in under an hour. However, we haven’t tried its wireless charging since we don’t have any wireless charger and Infinix doesn’t include one in the box.

Camera
While we haven’t fully tried its camera capabilities, we still have decent photo and video quality. Its color reproduction is good because it is still vibrant and punchy.

The photos are also detailed and sharp if you zoom in. However, its ultra-wide lens is the downside because it loses detail, and the color looks a little pale compared to the main camera.

For a gaming-focused phone, it is surprising that it can still deliver decent image quality since it is common for brands to trade off the camera just to bring great performance and vice versa.

By the way, the Infinix GT 30 Pro features a 108MP main camera and an 8MP ultra-wide lens for the rear camera setup, while a 13MP selfie camera is at the front.
The Infinix GT 30 Pro can shoot up to 4K@60fps video, which is also uncommon for its price, tho we haven’t tried previous Infinix phones to see if they can also shoot this video resolution.
Conclusion
Even though I only tested the Infinix GT 30 Pro for just a few days, I can still recommend it since it offers great features that we don’t commonly see at this price range.
This phone is perfect for those mobile gamers who look for an affordable smartphone but don’t compromise on gaming performance. But of course, it is still not a perfect phone, and it surely has flaws, but for the value it gives, it is worth buying.
