Aside from the Nothing Phone (4b), Nothing also launched the new Nothing Ear (3a) in the Philippines.
The new Nothing Ear (3a) now features a party pill design and a more rounded case design. It still has a transparent stem. They made it look like a mix of shrink-wrapped material and bubbled pill packets.
Nothing also improved its ergonomics and now includes an XS ear tip size. The available colorways of the Ear (3a) are Yellow, Pink, Black, and White.
Its charging case also now features a 1×3 LED status light to show things like charging progress, battery life, pairing status, and other system information.
One of the features that got our attention is the Audio Snapshot. This feature simply records up to 1 minute of what you are currently listening to just by pinching the stem.
It also highlights its new Call recording feature, which allows you to record live phone calls or voice meetings. All of the recordings will be stored on its built-in 32MB flash storage.
For audio quality, it has bigger 12mm dynamic drivers compared to the Ear (a). Nothing mentioned that its bass is also now up to 5dB louder. It also has up to 45dB wideband Active Noise Cancellation, and now supports the Static Spatial Audio feature.
For battery life, the Nothing Ear (3a) is claimed to provide up to 42 hours of playback with the charging case and up to 10 hours on the earbuds alone with ANC disabled. Each earbud has 55mAh battery while its charging case has 500mAh battery.
This earbuds also features a more advanced Bluetooth 6.0 that supports up to 15 meters connection range.
