Xiaomi sub-brand Redmi has announced the K90 and the K90 Pro Max today, October 23, 2025, in China. The two new smartphones from the Chinese brand share similarities on the camera design, as well as the audio configuration, and the flat display panel.

Key differences of the Redmi K90 and the K90 Pro are as follows:

Bose-tuned speakers, flagship performance

Both models come with stereo speakers tuned by Bose, although the Pro Max model opts for a more advanced audio channel — which uses a 2.1-channel setup with a dedicated rear speaker, as reported by GIZGUIDE.

Bose, known for its renowned sound systems, is an American-based audio company with a portfolio of audio products ranging from professional products to noise-cancelling headphones.

Redmi K90

The Redmi K90 features a 6.59-inch display in an LTPO panel. It has a 2K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and has 3,500-nits of peak brightness.

It has a Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage.

For cameras, the Redmi K90 has a 20MP selfie sensor. On the back is a triple-camera configuration, consisting of a 50MP primary, 8MP ultra-wide, and 50MP telephoto.

It has a 7,100mAh battery with 100W and runs on Android 16-based HyperOS 3.

Redmi K90 Pro Max

Meanwhile, the Redmi K90 Pro Max boasts a 6.9-inch display in an M10 OLED panel. It has a 2K+ resolution with a 120Hz refresh rate, backed by the same 3,500-nits of peak brightness same as the vanilla model.

Powering the K90 Pro Max is the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. The processor is joined by a massive 7,560mAh battery with 100W wired, 50W wireless, and 22.5W reverse wireless charging.

It has a 32MP front-facing camera.

The K90 Pro Max also shares the same triple camera configuration, with differences on the camera sensors: 50MP primary, 50MP ultra-wide, and 50MP periscope telephoto.
