Xiaomi Philippines has just released its newest budget smartphone, the Redmi 14C, which is now available for purchase starting at just PHP 4,999.

With its sleek and refined design, the Redmi 14C comes in three stylish color options: Midnight Black, Dreamy Purple, and Starry Blue, making it both eye-catching and affordable.
The Redmi 14C is equipped with a 6.88-inch Dot Drop display featuring an HD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate, ensuring smooth visuals and responsiveness.
The display also offers 600 nits of max brightness, 8-bit color depth, and covers 70% NTSC color gamut, delivering vibrant and accurate colors. It also has TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light certification and Flicker-Free DC Dimming, making it easier on the eyes during extended use.
In terms of photography, the front of the device houses a 13MP selfie camera within the Dot Drop, while the rear features a 50MP main camera paired with an auxiliary lens. Both front and rear cameras can shoot up to 1080p@30fps, providing decent video quality for its price point.
Under the hood, the Redmi 14C is powered by the 12nm MediaTek Helio G81-Ultra octa-core chipset with Mali-G52 MC2 graphics. This is paired with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of eMMC 5.1 internal storage.
The phone also includes Xiaomi’s Memory Extension feature, which provides an additional 8GB of virtual RAM for improved multitasking.
However, the use of eMMC 5.1 storage is a drawback, as most modern smartphones have upgraded to faster UFS 2.2 storage.The 5,160mAh battery of the Redmi 14C ensures long usage times, supporting 18W fast charging.
The device comes with a 33W charger in the box, making it a slight overkill for the phone’s charging capability.
