Canon Marketing Philippines, Inc. has rolled out the new EOS R6 Mark III, introduced during its “Uncompromised Storytelling in Every Frame” event on November 21 at Gallio in Aseana City. Media and creators were invited to get a first look at the camera and see what it brings to today’s growing creator scene in the Philippines.
Canon EOS R6 Mark III is the first mirrorless EOS to feature 3:2 Open Gate 7K 30fps recording
The EOS R6 Mark III brings a fresh round of upgrades for both photographers and video creators. One of the biggest additions is its ability to shoot 7K 60p RAW video, along with a new 3:2 Open Gate mode, the first in the EOS R lineup, making it easier to create content that fits different formats.

It’s also equipped with a 32.5MP sensor and can fire at up to 40fps, allowing the camera to capture as many as 150 shots in one burst.
Canon also added a pre-continuous shooting option that stores up to 20 frames before you even press the shutter all the way down, giving you a better chance of catching fast, unpredictable moments.
During the launch, guests tried the camera through hands-on stations and demos. Canon executives and creators also talked about how the new model fits into the fast-changing world of content creation.
Anuj Aggarwal, President & CEO of Canon Marketing Philippines, said the brand continues to be inspired by storytellers who constantly push their creativity forward. Jian Liu, who heads the Consumer Imaging and Information Division, added that Canon aims to build tools that help creators work more efficiently.
Celebrity wedding photographer Pat Dy also shared his thoughts on the growing creator community, saying that cameras like the EOS R6 Mark III help bring more stories to life.
With its official debut, the EOS R6 Mark III strengthens Canon’s lineup for filmmakers, photographers, and visual storytellers who want gear that can keep up with their ideas.
Canon also launched the Canon RF 45mm f/1.2 STM, a compact, lightweight prime lens with a fast f/1.2 aperture, quiet STM autofocus, and a 9-blade circular aperture for smooth, creamy bokeh. Affordable and versatile, it’s ideal for portraits, low-light shooting, and everyday use.

The price of the new Canon EOS R6 Mark III starts at PHP 164,998 for the body only, PHP 186,998 when bundled with the Canon RF24-105mm IS STM, and PHP 244,998 when bundled with the Canon RF24-105mm L IS USM. Its pre-order period will start on December 1, 2025, and end on December 31, 2025. According to Canon, this pre-order is bundled with an LP-E6P battery.
