In case you missed it, OnePlus already launched the latest OnePlus Nord 5 Series globally and offers great value for money.
OnePlus Nord 5: The New Flagship-killer Contender?
The new OnePlus Nord 5 features a large 6.83-inch Swift AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution, up to 144Hz refresh rate, up to 3000Hz instant touch response rate, 3,840Hz PWM dimming, Ultra HDR support, up to 1,800nits max brightness, 100% DCI-P3, and Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection.

This device also features a great camera setup consisting of a 50MP Sony LYT-700 (also known as IMX906) with Tri-axis Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and Tri-axis Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS), an 8MP OV08D10 ultra-wide lens with EIS, and a 50MP Samsung ISOCELL JN5 selfie camera with EIS.
The good thing is that it can shoot up to 4K@60fps video resolution, a very rare support for this price range. With that, this phone is ideal for those who need a phone that is decent for videography.
The OnePlus Nord 5 is powered by the 3nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 octa-core chipset with Adreno 735 GPU. Besides, it also arrived with up to 12GB LPDDR5X RAM with the OnePlus RAM-Virtualization feature, and up to 512GB UFS 3.1 internal storage.
I’m surprised by its battery capacity since it is powered by a massive 6,800mAh battery. That is also rare in a midrange smartphone, and the largest capacity I’ve known is only 6,000mAh.
Meanwhile, it can be charged by 80W SUPERVOOC wired charging. It also supports 18W PD charging, 5W reverse charging, and bypass charging.
The available colorways of this phone are Marble Sands, Dry Ice, and Phantom Grey.

OnePlus Nord CE5: Big Value in a Budget Package
Next is the vanilla variant of the series, the OnePlus Nord CE5, that is also decently priced. It comes with a smaller 6.77-inch AMOLED display that only supports FHD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, up to 300Hz touch sampling rate, up to 1,430nits max brightness, and HDR10+.
The Nord CE5 boasts the powerful MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Apex chipset with Arm G615 MC6 GPU. It is paired with 8GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 internal storage.
OnePlus’s another surprise is its very large 7,100mAh battery capacity that also supports 80W SUPERVOOC charging. Additionally, the Nord CE5 comes in Marble Mist and Black infinity colorways.
For the camera, the device features a 50MP Sony LYT-600 main camera with OIS and EIS, an 8MP OmniVision OV08D10 ultra-wide lens, and a 16MP selfie camera with EIS. Its rear camera can also shoot up to 4K@60fps video resolution like the Nord 5.
The latest OnePlus Nord 5 series runs OxygenOS 15.0 based on Android 15 out of the box. However, we don’t have any details, yes, about how long their software support lasts.
These phones are quite competitive in their category, especially given their specs-to-price ratio since they offer great performance, large battery capacity, high-quality display, and powerful experience at a decent price.
In my opinion, both smartphones are worth buying based on their pricing, as they are considered cheaper. Just note that neither of these phones includes a power adapter.
