HUAWEI is preparing to launch its latest smartwatch lineup, the WATCH GT 6 Series, in the Philippines on October 2, 2025.
The company has been making big moves in the wearables market, with global shipments recently passing the 200 million mark. Earlier this year, HUAWEI even took the top spot worldwide for wrist-worn devices, thanks in large part to the popularity of its GT Series, which has already sold more than 54 million units.
The new models, the WATCH GT 6 and WATCH GT 6 Pro, aim to carry that momentum forward with a combination of sports features, health monitoring, and a more refined design.

Focus on sports and outdoor tracking
One of the key upgrades this time is the Sunflower Positioning System 2.0, which uses dual-band and six-satellite GPS. HUAWEI says it’s about 20 percent more accurate than the previous version, which should help trail runners and hikers keep a solid signal even in tricky environments.
Cyclists are also getting new tools. The GT 6 Series introduces a Virtual Power Metric and Functional Threshold Power (FTP) estimates that calculate real-time output based on factors like speed, altitude, and bike type. The idea is to give more accurate performance data without needing a separate power meter, which can be expensive.
Golfers aren’t left out either. There’s vector swing tracking and access to over 17,000 golf course maps, making the watch feel like a specialized tool for different kinds of athletes.
Health and wellness updates
Health tracking is still front and center. The WATCH GT 6 Pro adds CE-certified arrhythmia detection, ECG analysis, and pulse wave alerts to help users monitor their heart health more closely. Both models also feature expanded sleep tracking, including apnea risk detection and more detailed emotion monitoring with 12 indicators (the previous version only had three).
All of this ties into the HUAWEI Health app, which can generate workout plans, recovery suggestions, and even mindfulness exercises based on the data it collects.
Design and everyday use
In terms of looks, the WATCH GT 6 Pro uses titanium alloy with sapphire glass and a ceramic back, giving it a more premium feel. Strap options include titanium, woven composite, and fluoroelastomer. The standard WATCH GT 6 goes for a lighter build and comes in new colors like Black, Gray, and Green for the 46 mm model, while the smaller 41 mm option will be available in Purple, White, and Gold.
Both versions feature 5ATM and IP69 water resistance, though only the Pro supports freediving up to 40 meters. The display has also been upgraded to a 3000-nit AMOLED panel, which should stay bright even under strong sunlight.
Battery life remains a highlight. The GT 6 Pro (46mm) can last up to 21 days, while the smaller GT 6 (41mm) manages around 14 days. Both run on HarmonyOS 6.0, with smoother performance, Bluetooth calling, and GCash Watch Pay support for contactless payments.
