Apple has introduced an updated Mac mini, featuring the new M4 and M4 Pro chips, redesigned to deliver greater performance in a compact 5×5-inch design.
The M4 chip improves CPU and GPU speeds significantly over the previous M1 model, while the M4 Pro provides even more power, making it ideal for demanding workloads with 14-core CPUs and 20-core GPUs. The Mac mini also debuts Thunderbolt 5 for faster data transfer on the M4 Pro and enhanced connectivity with front and back ports.
This new Mac mini is Apple’s first carbon-neutral Mac, with over 80% reduction in emissions, recycled materials in its build, and renewable energy in manufacturing. Starting at $599 with 16GB of memory, pre-orders are open, with availability beginning November 8.

Apple Intelligence on Mac
The Mac mini introduces Apple Intelligence, an on-device, privacy-focused AI system that enables generative tools and features like Image Playground and ChatGPT within Siri. Rolling out with macOS Sequoia in December, Apple Intelligence allows users to summarize text, create custom emojis, and interact with their Mac in new ways, all while preserving user privacy through on-device and secure cloud-based processing.
Enhanced Connectivity & Display Options
With flexible port options and display support, the Mac mini with M4 and M4 Pro models provide USB-C, HDMI, Gigabit Ethernet, and high-impedance audio jack support. The M4 model can support up to two 6K displays, while the M4 Pro handles three 6K displays at 60Hz.
Sustainable Design
The new Mac mini incorporates 50% recycled materials, entirely fiber-based packaging, and low-emission manufacturing and shipping. These efforts align with Apple’s goal of achieving full carbon neutrality by 2030.With macOS Sequoia, the Mac mini offers additional features like iPhone Mirroring, Highlights in Safari, Game Mode, and a redesigned password management system, providing a streamlined and powerful user experience.
